I have people that stare sometime, I now pay no attention to them. I use to try and hide my hands, but now I tell myself I don't have cancer or something worse so I am fine. I'm not going to say it's easy, it takes time, faith and your friends and family.

I have tried a lot of different treatments and I was also hurt and embarrassed by the pigment change. My doctor said it's not cancer, but if it's real to you we will work to find something that works with little side effects.
I stopped all the treatments and went to a natural vitamin, it's slow, but it is working.

My insurance company said that it wasn’t medically necessary. I’d gladly pay the $100. But with the insurance company not wanting to pay anything, I’d have to pay $3000 out of pocket. Totally ridiculous

My insurance denied. I appealed and they are now sending prescription. Told them it's the only thing that has helped. In the meantime, derm gave me two 5g sample tubes, which will last a while, so at least I have some backup.

My mom is having a hard time getting Opzelura. She saw it on the commercial and was excited. Spoke with her derm about it but the insurance denied it. They said it was cosmetic. SMH. people are depressed, embarrassed, and ashamed. Unformstinaly it can lead to mental health issues and worse. Finally, her doc gave her some samples, but that's not enough.
