Is It Even Worth Using All These Creams And Medicines To Try And Stop The Spread Of Vitiligo?
A MyVitiligoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I used a cream called Protopic 0,1%

For the first 3 months it removed a spot on my neck. After a while it stopped working and the spread of my vitiligo started to increase.

I also was recommended to take vitamin D tablets (1000 ICU) and Zinc. I have found that the spread is not reversing or slowing down. Seeing that there actually isn't really a cure, I have come to a point where I have stopped using the creams.

I'll have to wear sterile gloves at work (medical sector).
I've read about potentially harmful ingredients in Latex gloves (phenols) that can aggravate Vitiligo on the hands.
Source: https://vitiligosociety.org/about-vitiligo/.
Apparently molecules containing an aromatic ring or Sulhydryl groups are potentially dangerous.

Has Anyone Had Vision Problems With Their Vitiligo?
A MyVitiligoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m 39 and my vitiligo started back in may of this year. It’s on both of my eyebrows and I noticed my vision is getting worse and worse with a lot of sensitivity to light.

A MyVitiligoTeam Member

I feel like I read an article months ago on vitiligo and vision. If I can find it I’ll share it.
