Gloves Safe To Use For Someone With Vitiligo

Gloves Safe To Use For Someone With Vitiligo

Hello
I'm Daniel and have just joined here. I got diagnosed with generalized Vitiligo. I have it on my hands, too.
I'll have to wear sterile gloves at work (medical sector).
I've read about potentially harmful ingredients in Latex gloves (phenols) that can aggravate Vitiligo on the hands.
Source: https://vitiligosociety.org/about-vitiligo/.
Apparently molecules containing an aromatic ring or Sulhydryl groups are potentially dangerous.

I'm starting to believe that sterile Nitrile gloves areโ€ฆ read more

just curious -- since I am one of the 99% lost pigment and incredibly sensitive to sun and avoid it 99% of the time -- anyone else in this situation? do you have to stay on top of D levels with supplements regularly or just expose yourself anyway?

Vitiligo/Lupus

I have Vitiligo and just got diagnosed with Lupus. Does anyone here have them both. How do you deal with them? If I am going to be honest. I put it in Godโ€™s hands, but I am afraid.

What's the best makeup concealer for your hands? I used Smart Cover before, but apparently, they stopped making that product. I currently have Keromask Full Coverage Concealer, but it comes off way to easy.

Protopic (Tacrolimus) 0.1% Use In Children

Protopic (Tacrolimus) 0.1% Use In Children

Hi my son (8) has been having UVB treatment for vitiligo for about 6 months now with good effect.
The dermatologist has prescribed him Protopic to use alongside the UVB treatment, but everything I can find about it says this concentration shouldn't be used in children under 16yrs and I don't really know what the side effects might be.

Has anyone else used this treatment with there child?
Thanks
