Using Vitamins & Minerals To Treat Vitiligo
A MyVitiligoTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all.. I just wondered if anyone has tried the use of vitamin b12/d3, folic acid and possibly copper and zinc tablets to treat/cure vitiligo and if you have, what results did you get please?

I've had vitiligo since 1992. I take a lot of supplements. In my opinion, unless you are deficient in a vitamin or mineral, supplementing won't help. I take a multivitamin, extra vitamin D and magnesium, plus various other supplements. I've taken zinc and copper in the past. Large doses of zinc can reduce copper absorption and eventually lead to copper deficiency. A multivitamin with the RDA of copper and zinc is sufficient.

I take co-enzyme B complex with folate as I have a genetic eye condition known as PEX and at least one of my doctors feels there could be a correlation with vitiligo.no results on skin after about a year of this. I also take D3

The vitamins didn't help, Opzelura has been showing results for me.
