Members shared mixed experiences with finding effective vitiligo treatments, with most noting that what works varies significantly from person to person depending on how their immune system responds. Several members described their experiences with Opzelura, the FDA-approved topical medication, with some seeing gradual repigmentation after months of consistent twice-daily application while others saw little change even after seven months, though combining it with narrow-band UVB light therapy showed promise for some. A recurring theme was the practical challenge of affording treatment, with members generously sharing detailed instructions for accessing Opzelura's copay savings card to reduce costs to $30 or free through assistance programs, though these options don't work for Medicare or Medicaid patients who must apply for separate hardship relief.

Yes Opzulara is FDA approved and you get get a prescription at your Dermatologist. I have been hearing great things about new ones on the way as well. They sound very promising and should be seeing them in the next year hopefully.🤞

I’m glad there’s finally a drug approved for vitiligo (Opzelura) and I’m trying it. There are more coming as well.

Yes I agree with Rhonda, I have been using it for almost a year and I have dots of repigmentation but not a significant change.

I hear some people are having great results with Opzelura and other treatments. Some people are not having such luck. I think a lot has to do with the way your body and immune system responds to medication.
