Light therapy helped me significantly with my 50 year old vitiligo covering my body. It did not help my hands much or my face. However when I gave myself 3 months off it, many spots returned I went back on it and the spots re pigmented again. You have to continue it. I am on a maintenance schedule now and have a home unit which makes it so much easier

My insurance did cover my home unit. The dermatologist had to submit paperwork to my insurance company to get it covered.
