My Dad did have it but started at a much younger age. Also I am an avid triathlete so spend 10 - 15 hours a week training and wondering if possibly that stress contributed? But been dong so for many many years now...
Yes, can be at any age. I was in my 50's in 2013, when I woke up to a spot on my face. However, since my teens, I had very small spots, maybe four, on my legs for years. I'm a nature/natural kind of person, so I figured it was just a natural part of my life. I respect and appreciate everyone's journey in this Community in assisting in any way I can.
Vitiligo can affect anyone at any age,
What other approach are using to deal with vitiligo. My son has it and we’re doing a lot better after utilizing opzelura and UV treatment. However any other treatments would be helpful.
I understand.
I actually had vitiligo myself, and after trying different approaches, I found something that worked very well for me. My skin improved significantly, and I'm very happy with the results.
One thing I really liked about it was that it was relatively low-cost compared to many other options I had looked into.
It's a little difficult to explain everything through the messages on this website. If you're interested, do you have WhatsApp or Telegram? It would be much easier to communicate there, and I can share my experience in more detail.
I've just had it about 6 weeks and haven't tried anything else yet.
Have any topical products been identified as triggers for vitiligo? For example, sunscreen products?
