The timing of my symptoms coincides with starting HRT after being in menopause for several years without HRT.
Hi JaniceW…I’ve been using HRT for a few years now, and I have just noticed that wherever (in some instances…not sure if it will always happen), my vitiligo is appearing in the spot where I removed my HRT patch. I do believe (or at least my speculation is), it’s starting because I just started a new brand from a different company, and they all use different adhesive chemicals. Plus this one has to be changed once weekly, instead of my twice weekly, since there was a countrywide shortage of the twice weekly ones. This could be just how my body reacts and not something that would happen to you or anyone else with vitiligo.
I am receiving different messages on the impact of sun exposure. Has Sun exposure without burning been known to trigger a new case of vitiligo?
