That’s the right actitud. When people Drs etc notice that you are anxious to find cure for your condition they take advantage of this , very few people really want to help you. I went to a lot. I… read more
Dr. Lim just approved this for me as it is 40 minutes to treatment each way and getting harder with work. I am just wondering if it will be a big machine as well, how would I operate it alone, and where would I put it?
Would love to hear from someone who has done this.
And - I am not even sure yet if my insurance will cover it yet.
Have a great day!
I use Dermalume 2X from National Biological Corp. UVB Narrowband. Use it twice a week. Improvement is slow. If nothing else, it stops the spread.
I am from india, my son is having vitiligo. from 6 years we have been using different ayurvedic treatments over the years but its spreading. the major problem for me is the diet that comes with ayurvaedic treatment cannot vive give any food that is sour ( citric / Vitamin c ) and many more.

I’m wondering what other conditions people got after being diagnosed with vitiligo. Or before for that matter. I’ve seen some discussions of psoriasis. What other conditions did you get? Did they come before or after the vitiligo?
Psoriasis at 12, Psoriatic Arthritis at 18 and Vitaligo at 60
I used a cream called Protopic 0,1%
For the first 3 months it removed a spot on my neck. After a while it stopped working and the spread of my vitiligo started to increase.
I also was recommended to take vitamin D tablets (1000 ICU) and Zinc. I have found that the spread is not reversing or slowing down. Seeing that there actually isn't really a cure, I have come to a point where I have stopped using the creams.
I too have found that nothing works I've learned to deal with it in every spot that I have received begins as a heart and I still have many that look like hearts. I think it's a kiss from God and to… read more
I am going through menopause and developed dark patches of Melasma on my cheeks. I also have small white patches of vitiligo. Being brown I am now 3 colours on my face!. My vitiligo appears trauma induced and is present on elbows, arms and knees.
I wonder when the melasma goes if vitiligo will replace the dark patches? Has anyone experienced this?
Hi Carolyn
I'm late to this thread party. If you're still there I'll say two things

I have not discussed this with any doctor because it scares me. However I have the question of whether this is to return the skin color and is it an ongoing treatment? Is it expensive treatment?
Thank you,
Martina.
