I was finally able to get the Opzelura cream approved by my insurance. My dermatologist had to write a letter.

When Opzelura Is Successful And There Is Repigmentation, Is The Repigmentation Permanent Or Do You Need To Use Opzelura Forever?

When I saw that Opzelura had received FDA approval for vitiligo, I scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist. The dermatologist seemed pessimistic that it would be approved by my insurance, so she discussed what I understood to be a compounding pharmacy that specialized in dermatology. I received a denial letter from the insurance company and contacted this specialized pharmacy. They said they had received a denial for Opzelura and there was no option to pay cash for this cream.
