Has anyone had luck with changing your diet or going to a functional medicine doctor?

My son is 5, and was recently diagnosed. We’re considering seeing a very expensive functional medicine doctor.. curious if anyones ever had luck with one? Thanks!

Our Detroit VStrong Support Group hosted Dr Elizabeth Swenor (HFH) who is a Functional Nutritionist. I have been seeing her for almost a year. And she has improved my health considerably. Although Iam over 95% void of color, I am not seeking a cure but better health. The attached link is her virtual presentation she gave to our Support Group targeting Vitiligo and Nutrition. Hope this will prove to be useful.
