The medication tends to work best on:
• Face and areas with hair follicles
• Areas that receive light exposure
• Stomach, arms, shoulders, and back
• Legs (though repigmentation may be slower) Your dermatologist's recommendation for combining Opzelura with light therapy is supported by survey results. Members using both Opzelura and UVB phototherapy reported higher satisfaction levels - 32% were "very satisfied" or "extremely satisfied" compared to 19% using Opzelura alone.
The treatment is generally well-tolerated, with 70% of users reporting no side effects. When side effects do occur, they're usually mild and may include acne, itching, rash, or redness.

Valerie, how long have you been using Opzelura? I am stressing over the major side affects although my dermatologist said they are rare. He also prescribed light therapy for me. It's like an upright tanning both that uses infrared light. I have not started either yet.
