A MyVitiligoTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello
I want to ask that should I go for COVID-19 vaccination ? My main concern is that the vaccine will make the immune system more enhanced to fight against corona virus so I think it will also effect Vitiligo
Kindly answer
Thank you

Please get vaccinated. My Vitiligo is repigmenting even though I got vaccinated with biontech twice. I changed my diet and my vitiligo is healing. Going to get my booster soon. Let's stop this pandemic together!

I posted in another post that my vitiligo started 10 days after i took covid and flu shot together. It will be difficult to prove a link. But just because for some people there was no change in their vitiligo does not mean there is no link. That is biology. It is quite variable. Similar to how Protopic works for some but not for others.

I also decided to take the Pfizer vax last July and I do not believe it caused any change in my Vitiligo. I did as much research as I could before making my decision.
***** I would like to add, I wish I had NEVER taken the shots and I will NOT ever take any additional shots. It is proven they do Not protect and in many people they are killing people-even 2 years later.

Oh btw, the vaccine didn’t change my spots. Now I just received the booster so I can’t say anything about that but I’m thinking my spots will stay as they are and progress whenever they want.

For any vaccine I always suggest talking to your own doctor. Now in saying that. I really did NOT want it, didn’t even plan to get the vaccine, however; due to my husband having to get it for work my whole family decided to get the vaccine. I spoke to at least 5 of my different doctors (including my pediatrician) and they all said yes to getting the vaccine. Now, I hadn’t planned on getting a booster either but since I’ll be getting major surgery soon I just decided to get the booster but still again after talking to a few of my doctors. I get why people don’t want to get the shot but you have to make a choice for your own body. No matter who does or doesn’t want the shot.
