Significant Loss In Hearing, Maybe Psychosomatic
A MyVitiligoTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

At a recent visit to my eye doctor, I was told my pigment is separating inside of my eyes reducing the amount of light reaching the receptors in my eys. Which is scary enough but I have noticed a significant reduction in hearing. Is there any research that links Vitiligo to hearing loss?

My Vitiligo on my skin is mild, partly due to my natural skin color. The thought of having poor hearing and vision is scary.

Yes, hearing loss can happen with vitiligo but I don’t think it’s common. I have had vitiligo for 50 years and many of my relatives had vitiligo. Did not affect our hearing. I do have the super sensitive to light eyes that also can happen.
