It feels like it’s spreading a little and hasn’t really for a year, and I use sunscreen so I don’t think it’s sunburn.

Mine also first affected the lips people thought is HIV, just avoid stress and stop using lip sticks

Yes that totally helps, thank you! I was just online last nite looking for a really simple, pure sunblock with non nano zinc. I did start using that Vitiligo Organics product again. I used it consistently last summer for a few months then stopped and thought I'd try it again but I feel like it's coincided with the redness? so I'm not sure whether that is a culprit, the ingredients are very plant based and simple but the coconut oil smells rancid to me now and I wonder whether that is irritating my skin so I'm stopping that. What is the brand of sunblock you use? I might try this sunscreen Manda, organic just natural with zinc.

Be aware of sunblock types. Go over your routine and ask if you have changed lotions, chapstick, soaps, toothpaste even processed drinks. Sunburn can cause pink but also can be caused by irritation and inflamation. Lips are really sensitive, mine are especially sensitive to UV. Even sensitive skin sunblock bothers them so I use zinc. But re applying especially on lips is important.
I re apply sunblock 2-3 times a day when out in the sun to face neck hands, but lips wear off more quickly and I try to re apply after every drink of water. (Here in Phoenix thats a lot of water and sunblock.
At night I cover my lips and lip area in A and D ointment. It really helps skin healing, though doesnt do much fir my pillowcases;)
Also be aware of face creams with retin a or vitamins. Some can sensitize skin to U V. Corticosteroids can also alter skin sensitivy to sunlight as well.
Today here the sun was really intense and I burned right through all of my sunblock. Hope this helps!

I use honest mineral. Its a walmart brand but a bit expensive. The equate would prob be just as good. I picked up a bunch on clearance will likely change to less expensive brand when I run out. I am sensitive to lanolin so I have to be careful.
